A Melodrama, you say?!
We've already begun rehearsals for an April melodrama with an adult cast!
If you're not familiar with the melodrama genre, it's from the turn-of-the-century, and it involves overacting, comedy quips, audience participation - a hero to cheer for, a villain to boo, and a heroine to swoon over.
Our show is called Peril on the High Seas, and it takes place on a cruise ship circa 1920, and features a cast of characters straight out of the golden age of Hollywood - flappers, starlet has-beens, a jazzy femme-fatale, a mustached villain, a New York cop, a flirtatious ship captain, and more. It's an over-the-top comedy that encourages the audience to interact and features some of your favorite adult actors from Matilda and Arsenic and Old Lace (plus a few new faces).
Show dates will be over two weekends: Friday, April 17 at 7pm, Saturday, April 18 at 2pm and 7pm, Friday, April 24 at 7pm, and Saturday, April 25 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are available now!
Sponsors and Patrons may redeem your season tickets for this show, which is included in your package.
